ARTIST'S PROFILE
Greetings! Welcome to my art site.
I’m captivated by the challenge of painting in watercolour. When pigments are floated in water they create beautiful colour blends, transparent glows, mysterious darks. Watercolour flows and explores and I love to go exploring with it.
My watercolour kit comes everywhere with me. Painting 'on site' means the chance to feel the mood of the day. I love to wander off to the hills, valleys, beaches and villages in New Zealand and anywhere - to paint – especially with friends.
I am the current President of Watercolour New Zealand. New Zealand boasts wonderful water-colourists. We are a very active, friendly group meeting to paint, share and learn and laugh. Please visit Watercolour New Zealand's website.
Last year I took 2nd Place in Yellow Art Awards 2009
I live in the village of Te Marua in Upper Hutt, north of Wellington and spend each January in the gliding world at Omarama, soaring and painting the glorious Southern Alps.
